Josep Valor-Sabatier is a Professor of Information Systems and holds the Indra Chair in Digital Strategy. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Operations Research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Doctor of Sciences in Medical Engineering from the Harvard/MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology.

Professor Valor teaches courses on information systems management, media management, technology management, and strategy primarily aimed at senior executives. In corporate training, he has been involved in projects for major organizations such as Telefónica, Ericsson, Vodafone, the World Bank, Santander, BBVA, Oracle, Sony, Technicolor, Abbott, ING, BASF, KPMG, Henkel, and 3i.

His research findings have been published in journals like the International Journal of Electronic Commerce and Knowledge and Process Management. Additionally, he has authored books on the information and telecommunications hypersector as well as on information systems management.

Currently, his research focus is on the impact of ICT on industrial structure and competitiveness, with a particular emphasis on media and telecommunications. Professor Valor co-chaired the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) held in Barcelona in 2002.

He is based at the New York campus.
